SAFETY OF INDIGENOUS WOMEN: QUEBEC NATIVE WOMEN WELCOMES AN INITIAL POLITICAL COMMITMENT AND CALLS FOR IT TO BE MADE A PRIORITY FOR THE NEXT GOVERNMENT

Wendake, September 5, 2026 – On the occasion of the International Day of Indigenous
Women and Girls, Quebec Native Women (QNW) welcomes the commitments publicly
announced today by Québec solidaire to implement the Quebec-specific Calls for Justice
arising from the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls:
Calls for Justice No. 5, No. 8 and No. 11.
