March Against Femicide and Violence Against Women: Five Feminist and Indigenous Women’s Organizations Call on the Public and Political Parties to Mobilize in Response to the Urgency of the Crisis

Montreal, September 19, 2026 – Several hundred protesters have gathered in Montreal this
Saturday, September 19, at the call of the Alliance des maisons d’hébergement de 2e étape,
Quebec Native Women, the Fédération des maisons d’hébergement pour femmes, L’R des
Centres de femmes du Québec, and the Regroupement des maisons pour femmes victimes de
violence conjugale to march against femicide and violence against women and Indigenous
women.
