A fourth mandate for Viviane Michel, president of Quebec Native Women
Kahnawake, 23 novembre 2018 – On November 17 and 18, the members of Quebec Native Women (QNW) were gathered for the 45th Annual Gathering of Members in Laval. November 18th, each nation’s delegates elected Viviane Michel to the position of president for a fourth two-year term.
” I do this work with my heart; I do it because I have a thirst for making us known, a thirst for recognition! Each day, this thirst drives me forward and compels me to work passionately for our women, ” says QNW’s president, Viviane Michel.
This is the first time that a QNW president has been elected to the position for a fourth term in a row. “I want to thank the women for giving me again their confidence, for recognizing all the work we have done and will continue to do for the next two years,” says QNW’s president Viviane Michel.
The 45th Annual Gathering of Members was a success and 2019 promises to bear many challenges, but it is with both the trust and recognition of the organization’s members that QNW President, Viviane Michel intends to lead the organization towards these new horizons.
